My 3 Favorite Parenting Books

My 3 Favorite Parenting Books 1707 2560 Mona Corwin

Here are 3 of my favorite books on parenting- Have your read any of these? When I became a mom books were some of my best friends. They spoke to me in ways mere humans could not, they were my constant companions as I made my way through the wild world of parenting. They were on my bedside, dashboard during carpool and while I was feeling defeated after yet another battle with my kids.

These are some of my all time go to’s – so whether you are new at wrangling kids or just need a fresh approach, consider checking these out. There are tons of great titles out there, but these have been really helpful to me.

If you thought counting doesn’t work? Check this out. You’ll find tools to use in virtually every situation, as well as real-life stories from parents who have successfully navigated common parenting challenges such as reluctance to do chores, talking back, and refusing to go to bed or getting up in the middle of the night. For years, millions of parents from all over the world have used the award-winning 1-2-3 Magic program to help their children develop emotional intelligence, raise healthier, happier families, and put the fun back into parenting.

Much-needed answers to your toughest parenting questions! Dr. Dobson is the champion in parenting! Why are boundaries so important? Do children really want limits set on their behavior? My spouse doesn’t seem to care about discipline; why I am I stuck being the “bad guy?” Is it okay to spank my child, or will it lead him to hit others and become a violent person?

Teaching kids to be grateful is hard work but with some tools you can do it. Kristen shares the ups and downs in her own family’s journey of discovering why it’s healthiest not to give their kids everything. Teaching them the difference between “want” and “need” is the first step in the right direction. With many practical tips and anecdotes, she shares how to say the ultimate yes as a family by bringing up faith-filled kids who will love God, serve others, and grow into hardworking, fulfilled, and successful adults.

Being a mom is hard stuff and we need all the tools and encouragement we can get. Hope these titles from me will help you.
