7 Essential Truths To Pray Into Your Childs Life
- Conviction of Sin: There will be plenty of times when your child will sin and you will be there to help them. However, there will just as many times or more that you won’t know about it. Pray that your child will be convicted of sin. It is when we see sin in ourselves that we are able to repent willingly. Also without seeing their sin they won’t see a need for the savior Jesus. Pray they will know the difference between conviction and condemnation. Pray: John 16:7-8 1John 1:8-10. Psalm 38:4
- Salvation: This is your #1 most important job as a mom. To pray and communicate God’s provision of Jesus for the world. Pray that their hearts will be soft and able to accept God’s gift. Pray: Romans 3:23 John 3:16 Acts 4:12 Acts 16:31
- Freedom from the Approval of Others: While we want our children to obey and want to please others we don’t want this to consume them. We also do not want them to find their identity is what others or SM says they should be. Pray that your child will have a healthy view of their identity. Gal 1:10 Romans 12:1. Psalm 1: 1-3
- Know Gods Character and Seek it in Themselves: While salvation for your child is the greatest prayer having them see God for who He can shape their very character in the here and now. Teach and pray that they will love is find God’s character everywhere and want to emulate that in themselves. Rms 2:4 Ephesians 1:1-22 Jeremiah 29: 11-14 Rev. 1:8
- Love for God’s Word: Let’s face it we would be in a mess without the word of God. Pray that your kids will love it and it will speak wonderful things to their hearts. 2 Tim 4:3 Psalm 119 John 16:13
- Hear Gods Voice: When I learned to hear God’s voice everything changed. I bet you’d agree. Pray that your children will not only hear His voice but that it would be so LOUD that they could not deny it was indeed God. John 10:27. Hebrews 3: 7-11 Isaiah 30:21 James 1:19-27
- Learn to Pray: The power of prayer is nothing short of miraculous. But you can’t pray for them. Pray that they will love prayer and that they will submit their free will to open their hearts to do it. Phillipians 4: 6-7 1John 5:14 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Be encouraged mom, you can pray effectively for your children and your man.
