When Jesus tells Peter (a fisherman) to be more like a shepherd, he probably didn’t know anything about being a shepherd. That’s what motherhood is like when you are first starting out – it’s a skill you have to learn. As mothers, we must be shepherds who lead, tend to, and keep the wolves away from our kids.
